OMG! She blogged!!!

My grandaughter, Koby, is 1 month old today!
It's not that I haven't taken any pictures, hell I''m a grandma, I've taken LOTS of pictures!
I just haven't blogged.

So here are some updates. This group is from 5 days (at right) old to 3 weeks old (near the bottom). I'll get the very newest ones downloaded off my camera and get some of those up tomorrow.

She's Here!!!

Koby Kae Newhouse was born at 12:39 pm
on April 23rd, she weighed 8 lbs 6 oz.

update on Lisa

Well, it's 3:30 am and we've been timing contractions all night. We're supposed to be at St. Lukes at 5am so they can induce her. But I don't think they are going to need to. Things are clearly happening without it. Contractions are getting stronger, longer and closer together.

Update on Lisa

Lisa went to her Dr. today. She's only dialated to 2, and not her cervix is not thinnned yet. So,... Wednesday at 4pm she goes in to St. Lukes and they are going to use a 'gel' of some sort that is supposed to thin the cervix. Then they will start the pitosin at 5 am Thursday morning. So, we should have a baby by Thursday night. Which means Lisa will miss the Hillbilly party. :o( But she'll have something better than a party to keep her busy. :o)

Stardate 4-19-2009

Due date has arrived, Koby has not.
Contractions are sporatic, unreliable and inconsistent.
(kinda like most men)
Koby seems to want out, but can't find the door.
We are considering sending in a can opener.
Will keep you all posted,...

Lisa Update...

Lisa had contractions last night, but they stopped, so I'm getting her out hoofin' it today.

There's a yard with a trampoline down the block a ways, we may even stop there and see if they'll let her jump up and down a few times.

(But we may need a fork lift to get her up there.)

he, he, he.... I love you Lisa! !!!

Update on Lisa

Lisa has been feeling little contractions, but nothing significant or 'timeable'. She said Koby has slowed down and is not as active. (I think that's a sign too.) She said she feels like it could be in the next few days...
Well, here's hoping!
