Finally, an update from Lala Land....

The Good
I started my job. It's fun, and the other kids are nice, and they didn't beat me up or take my lunch money.

We moved into a cute little apartment. I'm so sick of moving that I think I might just stay there 'til I die.

Lisa is doing well. She's over the morning sickness, and she's sleeping better. She's starting to show a little... It's soooo cute! Her doc says my grandbaby is doing just fine!!! :o)

The Bad
My computer died, so even tho we finally got the internet hooked up at the apartment, I'm now waiting another week to 10 days for my computer to be fixed. (Thank God I bought the extended warranty.)
The Ugly
So,... I can't email, check in with all my boys on match.com, or update my blog, for a while yet. (I'm currently at Mom's house for the BSU vs Hawaii game, so I'm using her computer.)

A silver lining???

In the last few weeks
I've watched my wonderful friends and family
loose thousands and thousands of dollars

of their hard earned money in this market crash.

Everyone feels just sick, wondering what the hell to do.

As recently as a month ago,
I was stressing over having NOTHING
saved for my retirement.
No matter how hard I try to save,
between divorces, a bad business closure,
stupid decisions, and working for frickin' peanuts,
I continue to find myself with absolutely NOTHING.

ZIP.

But,...

The nice thing about being stone cold broke,
not having a dime of retirement,
and not having a pot to piss in,
is that I haven't lost anything
in this hideous fucking market mess.

I never thought I'd be grateful to be poor!

Yeee- fucking -haaw!!!

I got a job!

I'll be assistant manager at Christopher & Banks, a woman's clothing store in Boise Towne Square Mall. They have really cute clothes aimed at women my age,... (old).

It may be a major mistake for me to work there,... they have a great employee discount! (he, he, he...)

A beautiful fall day in Idaho

My friend Larry and I went for a drive on Saturday. We went up the Payette river, through Garden Valley where I grew up. It was amazing (and sad) to see the growth in that area. It was such a cute little town back then. But nothing ever stays the same, does it? -sigh-

Then we up through Lowman and back down through Idaho city. The fall colors all along the way were beautiful! Larry took these great photos.

(I should have taken a picture of HIM, because he's quite pleasant to look at too!! -wink!-)

It was a nice day.

Oh, boy!

I haven't gotten to add a new post for a while, been crazy busy with looking for an apartment, updating resumes, visiting with family, catching up with old friends, and yes, I've gone on a couple of dates.

I realized a couple of days ago that it's silly to look for an apartment before I have a job, because nobody is going to approve an application for someone that isn't working! So now I'm going "balls to wall" to try to find something quick as a "starter" job. Then once we have our own apartment, I'll work on getting a "real" job.

But I have to say,... "I HATE JOB HUNTING!"

It's right up there with cleaning toilets to me!
