MONROE, Ohio – A six-story-tall statue of Jesus Christ with his arms raised was struck by lightning in a thunderstorm Monday night and burned to the ground, police said.Man, that's scary, when Jesus is getting hit by lightening! That means NOBODY is safe!
Makes me wonder if Mother Nature just needed to send a little message saying... "I'm still the one calling the shots around here, and don't forget it!"

Football is not a false god-----its the real thing. But yes, that is weird !
And now of course all the kooks are coming out and saying "It's another example of Jesus suffering for our sins!"
You know, I've never understood that. Hell, half MY sins weren't even invented when he was around.
Oh, I agree; that is scary... How can we walk out the front door now without wondering if a big, bright lightning is going to his us in the head any minute?
